Focus on the work that is taking place between Linda (the coach on the left) and the teacher on the right. They are early in the coaching cycle and therefore don’t have any student evidence quite yet. You’ll observe a conversation where they co-construct a plan to teach the fourth grade students how to analyze their use of grammar and how it impacts the quality of the writing. As you listen, pay attention to how Linda’s questioning and listening practices influence the quality of the conversation.
